How can I make a Virtual Serial Port?

Hello there, just a senior college student here.

We are making user interfaces with LabVIEW and Python via Virtual Serial Ports, and all my Windows classroom friends are doing it with ease with an .exe application. Im trying my best searching for these programs for Mac but unsuccessful. Also trying creating a new port with Configurations/ Network, but still the same, no VSP. I had some issues months ago trying to program an Arduino Nano, and apparently it was because of the Serial Drivers, but I already installed the FTDI (I know, I know... it won't help to fix the VSP).

I need to make some Virtual Serial Ports to communicate the LabVIEW and the UI, hope someone knows how.

  • Im running Python on XCode 9.1
  • MacBook Pro 15" (Mid 2012)
  • Running High Sierra currently.
  • 8 Gb RAM
  • 720 HDD

MacBook Pro (15-inch Mid 2012), macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)
