i have been trying to type kannada using the new keyboard introduced in iOS 11, but no luck so far because it is extremely complex to type simple "Ottaksharas", can any one please help me with this?

i could type simple kannada words using the pop up menu but as mentioned earlier, whenever there is "Ottakshara"(which is widely used to write kannada script) i am not able to type.

The standard way to do that is by typing
Between the the two consonants. Does that not work for you?
Also try Press and Hold, which generates a pop up menu.
