Too many corpses being created

My IMac late 2009 doesn’t start any more under High Sierra which seemed to work fine so far for a couple of weeks. Seems to be a widely spread issue. Any advice about how to get rid of this problem? Verbose mode sais : « too many corpses being created » . Many thanks in advance.

In the meantime I was able to restart my iMac properly and to restore all of my files thanks to Time machine. My IMac is

a late 2009 27", so I'm aware that this was almost the last OS update, unless I have to replace my current HDD with a SSD in the future. Considering the problem I experienced, I would strongly advise to backup regularly on a device like Time capsule or similar.
