Connect an Ethernet cable that you know is working from one of the LAN <--> Ethernet ports on your network router to the WAN "O" port on the AirPort Express
Power up the Express for a few minutes, then hold in the reset button on the back of the Express for 7-8 seconds, then release the reset button and allow a full minute for the AirPort Express to restart to a slow, blinking amber light status.
On the Home screen of the iPad, tap on Settings, then tap on WiFi
Look for a listing of a New AirPort Base Station, then tap on AirPort Express under that listing
When you tap on AirPort Express, the setup "wizard" will open up and guide you through the steps to create a wireless network, name the Express, and set up a password for the WiFi network
What do you want the AirPort Express to do once it is connected to the network via Ethernet?
What device will you be using to set up the Express?
A Mac? A PC? An iPhone / iPad?
If it is a Mac, what operating system is installed on the Mac?
Hi Bob,
I want my AirPort to launch an Internet wifi using my home network data, and I tried to set it up via an iPad but it doesn’t recognise my local network.
thanks for considering my request 🙂
it asks me to enter the PPPoE username & password but I lost it 😟
What is the make and model number of your modem? You may likely need to contact your Internet Service Provider for the PPPoE information.
