How to display a photo album as an iPad screen saver?

Hello,

We have 2 x iPad airs using iOS11.1.1 and we have them mounted on launch ports (wall based charging station) in our house.

I want to use an iCloud photo album I created and shared with my husband as a screensaver on both iPads so essentially they are functioning as electronic photo frames. The benefit of using the shared iCloud album is that we can both add photos to the album straight form our phone and it's always up to date.

Surely this should be easy for an iPad to do but I can only seem to select one photo as a wallpaper?

Has anyone figured out how to do this?

Thanks in advance!

iPad Air Wi-Fi, iOS 11.1, null

iOS Slideshow/digital Photoframe apps rely on having access to images ON THE DEVICE!

I do not think what you are proposing what you want to do is possible, using the images over iCloud.

If you want to download photos back to your iDevices, I found one digital photoframe app that may work for you called

Thanks for your response Diana. The battery isn't really an issue for us because as I mentioned, it would be playing the photos when on the charger. I'm not sure what you mean by preserving the screen though? It would be good to have the option and leave it up to the customer to deactivate the screen saver it was an issue.

Also, I have just now tried to activate a slideshow for the album I mentioned, but it doesn't seem to load the photos? And when I am in the shared album, I can only see a small number of the photos that are actually in there even though it says it has 78 photos (the rest are just blank icons?) Any ideas? I believe the album sits in iCloud (hence both of us being able to add to it), however, it's not very useful if it takes forever to see content in it.

Thanks for your help.
