IPad and Outlook PST Files From iCloud

I have down loaded my pc files from iCloud onto my iPad (22 GB) but can't read most of the files. What looks like a file folder with a size of a gigabyte appears to be empty. In particular I want to access my pst (Outlook mail) files on my iPad while traveling without bringing my laptop. Again nothing happens when I click on them. Any ideas?

Hi. I think that's an internal format used by the computer version of Outlook. It is unlikely that you'll find a reader for them. See if your PC Outlook can export those files in a more compatible format. If you can export them as txt or pdf, you can use FileExplorer or GoodReader to manage and view them.

Thanks Diana. You were right. The pst and msg format could not be read.

I selected all items in my inbox on my PC and saved them as one large text file. I did the same with sent items. I then moved them into my iCloud Drive. They automatically uploaded to iCloud. I then downloaded onto my iPad. The sent items text file has all my sent items that can be read easily. Not so with my inbox items. This text file shows up blank when I open it.

The same goes for my archived files--can read sent but not inbox items. File sizes are about the same ie--archive inbox is 7.4 MB; archive sent items is 8.6 MB. --current inbox is 7.4 MB; current sent items is 8.6 MB.
