Iphone X Orientation

Hi,

I am running an iPhone X with iOS11.1.2.

If I switch off the rotational lock and return to the home screen and rotate the phone the display does not rotate, I have assumed that this is normal behaviour due to the iPhone X having the new style display and that is not a hardware fault with my phone.

I am asking this question to find clarity around this topic, as i can't find anything to say that it should/shouldn't rotate.
