Low iPhone X geekbench score

Hi,

I ran a Geekbench 4 v. 4.2.0 (application from App Store) benchmark test on my brand new iPhone X.

After i have got the results of the test, I am seeing a result that ranks my phone below an iPhone 7.

I have looked up the internet for all other peoples benchmarks where the iPhone X should have a CPU score of:

Single-core: 4202

Multi-core: 10104

Source: https://browser.geekbench.com/ios_devices/52

Running the test on my iPhone X gives me the following score:

Single-core: 2683

Multi-core: 5647

Which leads me to the conclusion that my iPhone is running on half the power that it should.

I have been in contact the the Apple support team, which really didn't get my problem, and tried to do a diagnostic from "General > Privacy > Analyse > Start troubleshooting with Apple support", which didn't show any problems. And Apple support wouldn't help me further.

My iPhone is running the latest iOS version (v. 11.2)

While above questions i the main problem, i am also often experiencing that my iPhone start the music just from laying in my pocket while walking around. - I am really frustrated that my iPhone is running on such a low power.

I hope that someone can help me, so i can take this issue further with Apple support, if necessary.

Best regards,

Nicolai

Um I was having the same problem just now. Have you checked if you have low power mode turned on? Because after turning that off and retrying the Geekbench? My score was back to 5000+ on single core and 10000+ on multicore. I suggest double checking that again with low power mode turned off.

Sorry, if I have been unclear. Yes I have an actual question, and that is whether there is a fix that maybe could get my iPhone up to full speed. My iPhone is working, but only on half the power according to geekbench, which I always has been reading as the best measurement tool out there.
And of course I will not be running around with a phone to $1000 if it dosen't work properly

Well that is also one of the main things that I want to know from the community. Whether I should trust geekbench or not. From what I have seen through the last 10 years on the internet, Geekbench has always been the scale for every new phone or computer on the market.

I know it's an application from a 3rd party company, but maybe people knows more about the app than me
