can you use ipad as wireless keyboard for macbook?

I have a macbook pro plugged into a thunderbolt display which I use as my main computer/tv/Movies etc. but no desk so getting up to go and type on the macbook keyboard is a pain.

I also have an iPad pro which I use for web browsing.

Is there a way (or an app) that lets you turn the iPad into a keyboard and connect wirelessly/bluetooth to the macbook so I can control everything from my bed?

thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X Mavericks (10.9.4)

What about portable Bluetooth keyboards like this

https://www.logitech.com/en-us/mobile/keyboards

http://www.matias.ca/aluminum/backlit/

OR look at this remote control app strictly for Mac and iOS called

Rowmote Pro

This is a comprhensive remote control with remote mouse/trackpad/keyboard functionality for Mac.

I have been using this app for iOS and Mac since its introduction.

You need to install a Mac companion app to be able to easily connect and sync the app to your Mac

Keep the Mac companion app up and running in the background at all times.

I'll second the logitech keyboards for the quality of the typing experience. I use my MacBook Pro at home (connected to a pair of Dell 2560x1440 LED/LCD monitors) with a solar logitech keyboard and a logitech wireless mouse, and have a similar setup for my work Lenovo (although it uses a single 32" Samsung 2560x1440 monitor). I even have one of the Logitech wireless keyboards with built in trackpad for my LG Smart TV (it's not solar though, but the battery charge lasts a long time).

The nice thing about the logitech models is the device doesn't even have to have BT, just a USB port for their universal dongle.
