iTunes library not loading properly in some applications

After moving my entire iTunes library and media to an external hard drive I am now dealing with the issue that some applications (Final Cut Pro 10.3.4, FotoMagico 5.5.2) making use of my iTunes library and corresponding DRM-free music files are not loading the entire content of my iTunes library as they used to, just a dozen songs out of thousands, same happens with playlists.

I have consolidated the library, randomly checked within iTunes about 100 songs doing "Show in Finder", compared playlists and other content between new external library and the one on my local HD, no visible issues as far as iTunes is concerned.

The few songs being fetched by FCP and FotoMagico, when doing "Show in Finder" in both apps Finder does show them within the expected external folder path, it is just puzzling that those applications are not pulling the entire content of my library, just a tiny fraction of it right after migrating the library to the external HD.

Any ideas of what might be wrong? Other than blaming it on Final Cut or FotoMagico, of course.

Thanks

Thanks for taking the time to respond.

I did deleted the XML from the library folder, rebuilt it, did not work.

I am an iTunes Match and iTunes Music subscriber, so I noticed iTunes that all matched songs I purchased in iTunes and other online music stores like Amazon plus those I ripped from my own CDs (about 13k songs in total), iTunes shows them with the iCloud icon (stored on Cloud) despite I have all of them on my HD (easily 100 GB worth of data).

If I download any of them then FCPX and FM now do see them...but it duplicates the data, meaning now I have the .mp3 file I had from the very beginning (e.g. the ripped one from CD) plus the downloaded .m4a matched file. It *****

Yes, I did.

I even tried before by unchecking this option, closed iTunes and affected applications, then reopened iTunes and checked Shared iTunes XML again, reopened FCPX and FotoMagico....no positive results.

As I mentioned, somehow the library is being shown in both apps, but just a fraction of the content.

If I add a new song to my iTunes library, the new content shows up in both FotoMagico and FCPX but somehow the entire library is not being loaded in both applications.

Thanks and regards,
