The Do Not Disturb Moon Icon missing on iPhone X
When Do Not Disturb is engaged on the iPhone X the Moon Icon is not showing on the home screen. Is there a way to add this again? Kind of an important icon to have show.

Thanks again welafever. So the answer to my question is "no" there is no setting to have the icon appear as it always has. That was the question, and all I really needed to know. As for the functionality of it... I see it as not so much as abbreviated (like it can't fit) but more as selective. (It shows the airplane mode icon, and wifi, but not Blue Tooth, Do Not Disturb, Alarm, etc...) As for defining it as a flaw, well that is up to the individual to judge.

The iPhone ten does not work like the other phones. I am correct because the Bluetooth and alarm symbols are not on the home screen either like they would be on the other phones. This is not a flaw. If you have further feedback/complaints send it here -Feedback - iPhone - Apple
You are correct if you mean to say it is still available as option in settings. My point is that the icon is no longer visible on the home screen which is where 99% of the people would see it to know it is "ON". Your point about the abbreviated status bar is not correct. When I have wifi on it shows the wifi bars on the home screen, but if I turn it off allowing more room and turn on "Do Not Disturb" it still is not revealed.
One of the few complaints I have with iPhone X albeit a major problem... I miss calls every other day because I forget to switch it of (as no reminder icon shows on Homescreen). This must definitely be resolved.
I totally agree with you - this must be resolved. I seriously would not have gotten the X if I'd known this. I keep my phone on do not disturb a lot and like the visual cue on the homescreen as a quick check.
It is not missing. It is in the control center. What is on the home screen is an abbreviated status bar not the complete one.
Shocking design decision
