Desktop Manager & script

Hi,

I have been experimenting with Apple script to enable voice activation of some features. Turning Bluetooth on and off using a script from the forum was a good learning exercise. However I have a problem; I’m using Richard Warehams Desktop Manager ( http://desktopmanager.berlios.de/) and I can’t get it to respond using apple script. It may be a feature (or lack off) of the code as it has not been updated since May 2005.

Basically what I want to do is write a script to make it switch desktops. Normally this is done via the Option Commandn keyboard short cut. Where n is the desktop you are after – I have 1 to 4. I tried putting this into a script but it was just ignored. No error messages, but no noticeable action either!

Could someone please suggest a script I could try or an alternative desktop manager which may work with scripted keyboard shortcuts?

I should mention that I still feel very new to Mac world although I have had the MBP for almost a year.

Thanks for your help,

Andy W
