iPhone Auto-Updates Not Working!?

Someone want to help me figure out why my iPhone X doesn't update apps automatically? Yes all settings are on(in relation to auto updates) I don't understand why there are options for auto-update when it doesn't work. I have to manually go into the app store and check manually to see if there are any. I also never get the red icon notification.

Ex. The youtube app that supposedly drained more power (I didn't check the app and it said the update came out 5 days ago) So.... what's going on?

I already googled this before posting and everyone says to turn the auto-update on and it should work...
