How Am I Supposed to Open This?

So my teacher decided to post an assignment to our D2L page and it is ended by a .pages extension. Now, I don't have any Apple software because it is super annoying and expensive and difficult to use but my teacher doesn't understand that not everyone can afford an Apple computer and thus posts .pages documents which I CANNOT open.

How do I open this file on either an android device or a regular PC?

Note: i CANNOT open it in a mac (because I do not own one of those useless piles of expensive junk) which means i can't change the extension on my own and I need to open it on my phone while I am at school.

It is unfortunately very common for email users (not just Mac users) to attach files of formats that recipients cannot use. Unfortunately, you will need to nicely educate your teacher to that fact that very few of her students will have Pages and therefore many students will simply be unable to open the file.

The solution is to educate your teacher to instead print her documents to PDF format prior to distributing them to students. All Macs can produce PDF files of any document through the print dialog box. PDF is about the only acceptable format for the distribution of documents to audiences that may have very different computing and software resources.
