HomeKit on Apple TV

I previously had my HomeKit working fine to control my door locks. I was using a 4th Gen Apple TV as my home hub and could remotely unlock of lock the doors. Now i can only do so if I’m at home with my iOS device, remotely it no longer works.

My Home App States that remote access is not enabled and when I check the iCloud settings on my Apple TV it doesn’t reference HomeKit anywhere while it used to say “connected”.

Have tried a complete reset and restore of the Apple TV, but that did not help. What else can i do to enable remote access on my for HomeKit?
