Long story short I turned off my imessage to send a text to someone and now it won’t turn back on even with wifi. I’ve tried turning my phone off. SOS

Unfortunately, activation can take some time. Toggle it off and back on again and restart the activation
- If it still gives you a long wait time on activating, force restart your device and see if it took
If not, toggle off and on once again
IMPORTANT: Also, do this for FaceTime; the two are linked. I learned this whilst trying to do something with messages one day. So also, toggle FaceTime off, then on again as it needs to activate as well
- After toggling both off then back on, then do your force restart
Those two are tied to iCloud, so if not activated together, you can run into issues such as this.
