Can I use Direct TV Now with Apple TV (1st generation)?

Can I use Direct TV Now with Apple TV (1st generation)? If so how do I load the DirectTV Now app into my Apple TV menu?

MacBook Pro (15-inch 2.4/2.2 GHz), OS X Mavericks (10.9.5)

No. The 1st gen doesn’t have access to any 3rd party content.
