Chrysler uconnect and carplay

I have a Chrysler 2013 Town & Country with U-Connect. Can it be upgraded to run Apple CarPlay?

I see that you'd rather use CarPlay in your 2013 Chrysler Town & Country. I'm happy to answer this for you.

CarPlay -- Available Models -- At this time, Chrysler offers CarPlay on the following models:

2017 - 2018 300

2018 Pacifica

I realize that my 2013 vehicle cannot use CarPlay as presently configured, but I wondered if the U-Connect radio I have is capable of having a software upgrade to be able to use it. I realize this is a difficult question to answer easily, but I was hoping to be lucky enough to have a Chrysler engineer that works on the radios in these vehicles happen by and be able to tell me what would be required if I absolutely was determined to put CarPlay into my 2013 Town and Country van with a Uconnect Multimedia video entertainment system (VES)

Ask your Chrysler dealer. Based what I can find out there, there is no upgrade available that adds CarPlay functionality to that head unit.

If you absolutely positively want CarPlay, you will most likely have to replace the head unit id your vehicle.
