Rename 2+x files shortcut

Good day,

I have a question, which I just can't find an answer to: I usually rename a lot of files at the same time, ehich thankfully works just perfectly well with macOS. But since I do this pretty much half the day I'd like to set a keyboard shortcut for renaming 2+x files simultaneously. But the selection always describes the number of files I want to rename, so there is no option for just setting a keyboard shortcut myself. Is there a solution?

Use Automator,

Select New (Command - N), & select "Service":

Set "Service receives selected" to "files or folders" in "Finder.app",

& add the actions: "Get Selected Finder Items", & "Rename Finder Items":

Click on Options in "Rename Finder Items", & check the box: "Show this action when the workflow runs".

(this way all the options to rename files can be selected)

Once saved, open System Preferences > Keyboard > Shortcuts > Services:

The new Service should have been saved in Files and Folders category.

Assign the Service a keyboard shortcut:

This may need some troubleshooting, as your chosen combination may have already been assigned to another function.
