iPhone X - Lightning to USB adapter glitchy, cutting in and out

I recently upgraded to an iPhone X, and I use a lightning to USB adapter to connect a portable DAC/AMP. However, I am receiving numerous glitches, and it cuts in and out. A few details:

• I have tried all the official Apple adapters (lightning to usb, lightning to usb camera adapter, lightning to usb 3 camera adapter kit, etc) as well as more 3rd party cords than I'm willing to admit. All result in the same malfunction
• I was using the exact same setup with the iPhone 7s with iOS 11 with no issues prior to upgrading to the iPhone X.
• Not only have I tried multiple cords, I've tried multiple DACs, all with the same issue.
• This cutouts only occur when I am using the phone. If I put it in my pocket, then there are no issues.
• Turning on airplane mode does not fix the problem

This issue makes the usb functionality completely useless. I am aware from other forums that I'm not the only one with this issue. Is apple aware of this issue, and is anything being done to resolve it? The iPhone X should be an upgrade, and it's been a major downgrade for me unfortunately because of this issue.
