After hard reboot, Apple watch boots into Chinese mode

I have tried several hard restarts with no luck. Every time the watch boots back up, it come up with a screen in Chinese, with some English thrown in, but nothing seems to work to reset it back to a “Factory default” mode.User uploaded file

Hi


Follow one of these steps to turn off VoiceOver:


  • Quickly press the Digital Crown (the round button) on your Apple Watch three times in a row.
  • On your iPhone, in the Watch app, go to: My Watch (tab) > General > Accessibility > VoiceOver > turn off VoiceOver.
  • Or use Siri: use "Hey Siri" or press and hold the Digital Crown (round button) then say: “Turn off VoiceOver.”


To select a different language for Apple Watch, follow the instructions here:


Change language and orientation


To erase and unpair your Apple Watch, follow the instructions here:

Note that Apple advises that Apple advises that you should not force restart your Apple Watch unless it cannot be restarted normally:
