Recently I bought iPhone X by spending 1000 bucks , went on a trip to Niagara falls and guess what I cannot take pictures at night , the flash does not work in cold weather. It works until the phone is warm once phone goes below some temperature it stops working , I need to get it warm up so that I can take couple of photos.

Its allbcause of the built in infrared face sensor. Or probably a bug! Hope Apple fix the issue soon....Even I'm facing the same problem in Norway!
First time it happened was today here in Helsinki and I was worried as a 1.3K € iPhone cannot be that trashy, but I’m happy to know it’s low temp related. As I live in Brazil, at least THIS will not be a problem there. Thank you all for opening the topic and also for providing insightful replies!
I have the same problem and I am in Zurich. The temperature was around 5 degree celsius.

Got mine swapped problem also exists with the replacement iPhone X
I Do have the same Problem in not that much cold weather, around 0 Degree! and really upset about this!

Use a old sock to keep iPhone warm before you use it.

I have the same problem. Flash isnt working around 0, or above 0 celsius. I really dont understand why isnt apple doing anything about this issue, since its not isolated case, but mass people have these issues.
