Trojan.U83

A “Message” tab appeared on Safari while I was browsing. It said the lady website had infected my machine with a Trojan.U83. Immediate repairs were required and if I closed the window, permenant damage would be caused.

It's bogus. Force quit Safari and start a new session by holding shift before you click the Safari icon.


How to force a Mac app to quit

  1. Choose Force Quit from the Apple () menu, or press Command-Option-Esc. This is similar to pressing Control-Alt-Delete on a PC.
  2. Select the app in the Force Quit window, then click Force Quit.
