My Iphone 6S Plus keeps getting locked automatically every 30 seconds even when I am using my iphone for messaging or browsing. Have kept it for charging and it keeps getting locked every 30 seconds and asks for Touchid or Passcode. This is also delaying the battery charging.
This issue is from the past couple of hours. Please help..!

Someone on a similar thread says that this has to deal with a date-based issue (Dealing with December 1st), and that many people in Apple Stores are having the same issue.
A temporary fix is to go into "Settings" > "General" > "Date and Time" > change your date to pre-Dec 1st (it's not a fix, but it should prevent your phone from resetting every minute or so)

iOS 11.2 is out now which fixes this bug.
Settings > General > Update
To confirm on the status on the query I posted.. after a Reset All settings ( without media and content ), my phone is working as usual..!
I tried doing the Reset All Settings ( without deleting the media and content ), it looks like the issue is fixed. But will see how it goes for the next few hours.
Thanks a lot OKOJ, after seeing your reply checked the Clock app was crashed even in my phone. Just did the Reset all settings, and once the phone turned on, the clock app is working.. so hopefully the issue should be resolved.. but will wait and watch..! Thanks again! 🙂
According to Apple Store it seems to be date related and has affected Australia first - it has been escalated to the highest levels and the Apple Store is full of people with the same problem. I am having the same issue with iPad Pro 12.7 - very frustrating - I have changed my location to Los Angeles and it stable for now.
Apparently all the Apple stores worldwide work on US time on their 'i' devices - so the big fear is that it impacts all the Apple Stores. No fit at this time - but we can expect that this will get a lot of attention!
I can confirm by resetting the date to pre 1 Dec 2017 date the behaviour stopped. This is a temporary fix but works. Apple must release a patch for this clock bug ASAP.
Just tried resetting my date and time and it works now
The only option is to change the date back to before december 1st.
Go to settings-general-about- reset all settings .
Make sure the phone actually restarts and has an apple with the loading bar. If it successfully resets your phone should work with no issues
Set your date and time manually as suggested above
Settings - General - Date and Time - change to pre Dec 1 for a temp fix until the issue is resolved permanently
Go to settings, general, reset, reset all settings. Works like a charm!

Sure - A reset all settings won't delete content or data
It will just reset your device and may prompt you to enter wifi password again and set up a new passcode if you had one
- Check to see if the changes you made to your time and date stick after the reset. If not, simply adjust them again 🙂

Reset all settings has worked for me thanks okoj. I thought it was one of my other apps and have been trying backing up and synching and running round in circles. Next time I'll just come here!
