which app do you refer to? The document format; PDF or Word or..?

I am not referring to a document format. I am referring to the specific app you're using. For example, PDF Expert is an app. It can be used to view and edit pdf documents. It supports printing. The Kindle app can also be used to view PDF documents but it doesn't (to the best of my knowledge) support printing.

Perhaps this article will help clarify:

You seem to be conflating too different things. AirDrop is a way of transferring things from one iOS/Mac device to another. It has nothing to do with printing.

In that screenshot, the top row is AirDrop. The second, unrelated row is the list of apps you can share to. The bottom row, unrelated to the top two, is the list of Activities.

For sharing, if you go all the way to the right end, you'll see a box that says "More". You can add or remove apps that you can share to.

On the bottom Activities row, you can do the same thing. However the Activities are dependent on the app. Not all apps support printing.

If so, one complication that has surprised me:

The PDF download of a specific file from a website a collaegue and I use regularly can be printed on my Ipad (the print option appears on the activiy list when klicking on AirDrop; so printing is an export option on my ipad); however on the Ipad of my collaegue this print option does not pop up, nor on the row of activities, nor under “more”. For other PDF’s, Print does pop up on both our Ipad’s.

any explanation? how to get this printing for the PDF on his list of options for the specific document that causes problems today?
