Change font for envelope printing

I'm trying to print my christmas card envelopes from contacts and I'd like to change the font and size. however, there is no save button that I can see once I do that. so every time I change it, I go to print and it defaults back to the preset. is there something I'm missing? where can I change the default setting so it defaults to the font I want?

High Sierra contact envelope font printing is defective for "me too". Fails on each of my four copies of High Sierra and with different printers Epson and Brother. I used an older laptop (El Capitan) to print my Xmas card envelopes this year. The newer MacOS is becoming lame for desktop paper publishing, it is time to move my Xmas card envelopes over to Linux I suppose. I will following this thread ... And would appreciate the High Sierra work around or a fix.

This is SO frustrating. Since the update of IOS to 10.13.2, among other things, I was forced to buy a new large format photo printer as the current software no longer supported my Epson printer)...this said, I have not been able to change fonts or colours when trying to print envelopes from my Mac address book. Between Apple and Epson, I've been on the phone intermittently for 6-ish hours and I am still back at square one, and mightily disappointed, too. So, what happens now...we just sit and wait for a High Sierra 'fix'? ....

Having the same challenge myself. Super frustrating!

I've been using Contacts/Address Book to do my card envelopes for years and years with the ability to customize my font choice. Never had an issue.

This year, no matter what I do everything I print comes out with the "System Font Regular" instead of my font selection.

  • The font changes in the preview, but prints the System Font on the envelope.
  • I've tried having the font selection menu open, with my font choice highlighted when I hit print, no luck.
  • I've made sure the font I want is selected and appears in the dialogue box under Label/Font and saving my settings as a custom layout. Still ends up with a system font on the printed envelope.

Why do I just know this is going to be a lot of wasted time and frustration of something minor...

Running High Sierra.
