Unable to find Go menu in Finder

Sierra 10.12.6

Clicking the Finder icon results in a page entitled All Files. The Go menu should now be available on the menu bar. Not so.

Could anybody tell me where to find it?

I am trying to follow Mac instructions: 'Go directly to a specific folder' and the first step is 'In the Finder click the Go menu in the menu bar'.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.3)

Yes, that works for me! Interestingly, I now find that I can call up the desired menu, the one that gives access to all folders on the computer, from both 'File'>'Save as' and 'File'>'Export'. I normally use the first option, which appears to be specific to Word, Exel and possibly other documents, while 'Export' comes up with pictures etc. (I hadn't used that before).

So clicking on the arrow button alternates between a restricted destination folder and an extended one. The latter having eluded me for a long time!

Thanks, Barney-15E!

Having played with it for a bit, I find that to be the case! Thanks!

I came up with that question in my search to a way of filing a document directly to a specific folder.

Although this is taking us away from the specific question ('Where is Go on the menu bar?'), now answered, I haven't figured out how to save a document with the Go function.

In case anybody else has been steered here from that post (How to save a File to specific *Folder*, https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5900533?answerId=24863668022#24863668022), I believe that I have found that it can be done, after all, through 'File'>'Save as' (in OS Sierra). However, I haven't been able to repeat this consistently: With 'Save as' there appear to be two different menus, a simple one with 'Save as:', 'Tags', 'Where:' and 'Format:'. 'Where:' has a drop-down menu with a number of folders to choose from but doesn't lead to 'All files'. However, sometimes a different, page-filling, menu appears that branches out to all stored folders (in alphabetical sequence!). Unfortunately, I don't know yet how to call up this particular menu consistently, in stead of the simple one. It has appeared frequently, but I don't know why.

Because I had never before gone to the bottom of this latter menu, I hadn't realised that this is how to file directly to a specific folder.

Once I have played with this some more and formulated this question more clearly, I'll return to the earlier post (How to Save a File to specific *folder*).
