Compatibility MacOS 10.13.1 and Cisco Anyconnect VPN client?

After years of successful use of Cisco Anyconnect client to create a VPN from home to my office, suddenly the Cisco Anyconnect client error messages "cannot establish connection with the specific secure gateway"

There was no problem with MacOS High Sierra until last week.

installing fresh copy of Anyconnect did not solve the issue

I have heard one other person with similar issue on his Mac, not his PC

Is there a new conflict between Mac OS and Cisco?

Has anyone in the Mac community experienced this problem?
