Photo resolution size of iPhone X

I downloaded photo that be taken from my iPhone X from iCloud. Why the photo resolution size it’s just 1536 x 2048 (3MP). I took in photo mode from camera app. If I took from portrait mode it’s bigger as I expected 3024 x 4032 (12MP). Is there anyone face the same problem?
