iPhone 6S ios 11.2 cannot activate. tried to restore the device all over again and again but still no luck. Apple Support didn't help that much to solve the issue. still with an unsusable iPhone.

Nopes. no activation lock. I did go to my icloud, find my iphone and deleted the iphone. ios 11.2 just renders the iphone useless.
If 10.3.3 was still being signed, I would have downgraded and activated the phone without problem.
Hope APPLE will take care of this problem asap and issue a communique or something or a revised ios update for 6s and other affected devices.
What steps did Apple Support suggest?
You could always make an appointment at the Genius Bar and should be able to find a solution of some type there.
Are you experiencing an Activation Lock? Does it work fine if you remove the SIM.
I've been having a similar problem with Activation Lock recently and still trying to resolve the issue.
Same steps as per their guide. But still no lock. Phone was activated under 10.3.3 but on 11.2 it just ........
