How do I hide messages when I receive them?

On my friends phone (which is like mine) when ever she gets a message it doesn’t show what the message is. It just says “iMessage” i want to know how to hide my texts like that

Open Settings app > Notifications > Messages.

Check if the option to 'show previews' is enabled on your iPhone. Compare your settings to her phone as they can be different across iOS versions.

There are also options to remove messages from the lock screen if you don't ever want them visible there.

Hi luxkka! To do this is very easy. Simply go to Settings --> Notifications --> Messages --> Show Previews --> When Unlocked (for just not seeing them on the lock screen) or Never (if you never want to see what your messages say in the notification) Hope this helps!
