Alarm Not Going Off / App Won't Open

I wonder if someone might be able to assist.

My phone is 6s, on iOS 11.1.

This morning, my alarm didn't go off at the usual time. That has never happened before, and when I clicked on the App, it is just a black screen. The little icons for alarm, world clock etc. are at the bottom of the screen, but greyed out, so cannot be clicked. Sometimes, the screen is completely black, except for the little spinner.

Additionally, when using Safari to look for a solution, the screen sometimes just goes black, with the spinner, which then prompts me for my passcode.

I have restarted my phone a few times, but that hasn't worked. I've never had issues with my phone before this latest batch of updates, so am really hesitant to update again, but my phone is just not behaving itself at the moment.

Can anyone shed any light / offer any advice, please?
