how to skip apple pay setup

my iPad wants me to set up Apple Pay with a red 1 appearing in settings after upgrading it to IOS 11.2. I don't want Apple Pay. How can I skip setting it up and remove the red 1? It doesn't show my iPad on my product list even though it is registered on my account.

iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 2nd Gen, Wi-Fi, iOS 11.2

Hi

Go the screen for setting up Apple Pay and tap on the option, at the bottom, to "Set up later in Wallet...".

The trick is don't skip it. Say Ok when it asks you to set it up. When you get to the set up page, tap cancel.
