How to export names from Contacts to Mailchimp?

Hi guys,

I am looking to use Mailchimp as an email marketing tool and I'd like to export 400 names from groups in Contacts. How to do it elegantly - meaning not one-by-one?

Thanks a lot,

Yes, as MailChimp will not sync with your contacts.

This may be over kill, however I use a great app called Daylite 6 (Market Circle) that has an add on that works with MailChimp to keep contacts in the CRM update. Including adding contacts from Mac Mail directly to Daylite, great product I have been using this for 4 years now on my Mac.

I hope that helps.....

Sure, this is such a brief overview of a lot of information, I hope it makes sense to you.

MailChimp:

Currently the maximum contacts you can put into MailChimp for free I believe is 1,500 if want more you can go up another tier, which I am at 2,500 contacts tier for $30/month. All you have to do is create an account and you can create your own email campaigns (I use Mail Designer 365 to design my campaigns and upload to templates) through the MailChimp account. They have quite few templates to chose from. I imported my contacts from a .csv file which MailChimp makes is very easy. Check out there website I believe they have several videos.

Daylite from Market Circle is a resident App on my Mac

(however they do have a cloud based version which I am not using).

Daylite 6 CRM App

Daylite Mail Assistant (This is an add on to track emails and log them into daylite, I love this feature saves me a lot of time).

Daylite 6 Server (This app allows you to sync your iPad, iPhone, and an additional Mac like say a MacBook Pro) or in my case I have both on my MacBook Pro.

Daylite 6 iOS App iPhone or iPad, etc. Daylite 6 on the App Store

Daylite Plug-ins:

The Daylite add ons are located here: https://www.marketcircle.com/daylite/add-ons/ is from the MailChimp add on is iOSXpert plug ins https://iosxpert.biz/en/plugins-for-daylite/what is great about this add on is that if I send someone an email and they unsubscribe it automatically completes the task in Daylite and I don't have to think about it.

Be careful how and how often you do that. I don't recall if it's still true but MailChimp used to have a limit on the number of contacts you could upload to a free account. I think it was something like 2500. But, every time you re-upload the same 250 contact CSV file, that counts toward that total. I only update my whole MailChip email list about once a year. In between, I add contacts individually as needed.
