Anyone having problem adding a discover bank debit card to wallet to use with apple pay cash? I am repeatedly getting an error once i add my security code on card details screen and hit next to enter verification.

Could not Add Card
Try again later or contact your card issuer for more information.
I have called discover bank and they said nothing is wrong with the card and it is activated.

I’ve had a Discover debit card since before Apple Pay came and Discover has never supported Apple Pay for the Debit Card. My Discover It Credit Card, however, works with Apple Pay.

Same here. I contacted the Discover with the secure message and they are saying that the Discover Debit card is not support to add to Apple Pay right now. The only cards they are providing service to Apple Pay are here based on their website. (Apple Pay Frequently Asked Questions | Discover)
Hope Discover will provide Apple service to its debit card soon since it is my only debit card for now.
I have had the same issue for a month now, and I have been calling Discover and Apple. I was finally told by Discover that this is a known issue because the new debit cards now have a chip. Before the new chip, you could add the card, but it broke with the new chip cards. They know about it and are working on fixing it.
Same experience as Beethoven. I’ve been trying month after month since Apple Pay came out to add my Discover Debit to no avail; same message. However, today it actually took me to the disclosures screen and had me agree/disagree; prior to this I would get the “try again” pop-up after entering the card info. Likewise, I have no issues with the credit card. The irony is that the back end of the new Apple Pay peer-to-peer cash feature is run by Discover itself and I can’t arm my card because my debit card won’t work with it.
