Ipod shuffle is not showing on my pc.

So I have recently bought an iPod shuffle 2 months ago and whenever I connected it to my pc, it wouldn't find it nor iTunes. It doesn't even display in devices and printers. I have already sent it for repair and it still does the same thing. Could it be the USB cable thats cuasing problem?
