How to import powerpoint slideshow into a movie in iMovie

I am preparing a teaching presentation and I would like to record myself to then overlay this onto my Powerpoint slideshow. Does anyone know how to do this using iMovie? My project needs to be shared to youtube for classmates and professors to view. I would rather not have to purchase another program or pay for a subscription to a service such as Knovio, etc.
