my warranty recently expired(10-15 days) and i have a small but clearly visible crack on my iphone 6s screen. what do i do? should i replace it or continue to use it as it does not affect my phone’s functionality!? Also can i renew my warranty now?

Is any such damage caused in normal course of use to my phone screen covered by apple even though the warranty expired? I mean the screen should atleast be so durable that it doesn’t crack up as such!!!

Make an appointment at the genius bar and get the display replaced. It would not be covered under the warranty anyway as accidental damage and abuse are not covered.

And no, you can not purchase AppleCare or AppleCare+ coverage after the warranty has expired.

this is a volunteer forum. You are not speaking with Apple here and Apple does not respond to posts made here.

if you have the standard warranty screen cracks are not covered and you are out of pocket for the expense to repair them.

an extended Apple Care warranty covers two instances of accidental damage where the damage can be repaired for a lower cost, however if your standard warranty is passed this is no longer an option.

Call 1-800-MY-APPLE in North America or go to apple.com/contact for a list of international phone numbers.
