When will Photos 3.0 of MacOS High Sierra 10.13 support newly released Sony A7Rm3?

At this time, Photos does not support RAW files from newly released Sony A7Rm3. Is there anyway to read the files? I hope Apple will release the update soon. Thanks

MacBook Pro with Retina display, macOS High Sierra (10.13.1)

This is a user-to-user support community where Apple product teams neither read, nor participate. We are users just like you, and Apple does not share future product plans with us either.

You can check current High Sierra Camera RAW formats in the living document here, or press the option key, Click the Apple menu bar logo, and select System Information… and click Raw Support under the Software category.

It can take several months from the time a new camera is announced until the vendor gets the camera raw support code to Apple who then has to test it, fit it into the next beta release schedule, and then eventually issue the new support in a future macOS High Sierra release update.

I have no idea. In my opinion, the Camera vendor must provide Apple with the device specific camera raw specifications and/or code. I can't imagine that Apple just cooks up camera raw support code for any specific new camera release — on their own. And rhetorically, who on earth would one contact at Apple to request this custom camera raw support?
