iPhone X "Ghost Touch" Glitch On Screen
I have had the X for three weeks now, just updated to iOS 11.2 last night, but began having "ghost touch" issues with the screen early yesterday morning. I've had a case on since day one, and I have NOT dropped the phone. I do not live in cold weather, so it's not THAT bug. The main problem here is that when I hover my thumb or finger a few millimeters over the middle row of icons on the home screen, WITHOUT ACTUALLY touching it, the phone begins to go wild and open and close random apps, and scroll up and down by itself inside the app. It's as if a ghostly finger is trying to press every button as fast as possible. This happens several times per hour now. It mainly affects the row of icons in the middle of the home screen, as these are the apps that keep opening and closing. At one point, a third-party camera app opened up by itself, and I could see the false input being "pressed" on the middle of the screen as if I were repeatedly pressing my finger there. The phone thinks it is receiving input on the middle of the screen when nothing is actually touching it. I also have video proof of this happening, as I managed to record the event with another phone. Once the glitch starts, it can't be stopped until you put the phone to sleep. I have turned the phone off and on again, I have reset the phone and rebooted the phone, and the issue is still present. This appears to be a hardware failure.
