Multiple Thumbnails of the Same Person In Photos

Hello, I am trying to organize my Photos library, and I noticed that when I begin to type my name in to identify a face, there are 5 different options that all say my name, but they all have a different thumbnail on them. Is there a way I can reset this to start over? I have gone through and deleted the recurring me's but their thumbnail still shows up when I type my name.

Thank you!

iMac, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2), (Hackintosh)

  • First try to merge all People albums of you in the People album.
  • Then make sure, that the name you want to use has a distinctive key photo as a thumbnail, so can easily recognize it. Ignore the other variants. Photos will not forget all other variants of your name, if you ever used them on one of your devices, that are syncing with iCloud Photo Library, or that name appears in your Contacts.

But if your People albums has a lot of messed up and mixed persons, you could try to start over from scratch and reset the People album across all your devices.
