Fully charged battery beeping sound

I've noticed since my last ios update, that when my battery is fully charged it starts making a beeping sound and I have to unplug it to stop. This is very frustrating in the middle of the night because it wakes me up. I have looked through all the sound settings and cannot find a way to turn it off. Has anyone else experienced this and if so is there a way to stop it?

iPhone 6s, iOS 11.1.1

That indicates a problem with the power source or cable you're using to charge it. There is no chime or alert to indicate it's charged. What you're hearing is the indication that a power source has been connected.

It would seem so, but it only makes the noise with the same charging chord when the batttery reaches 100%. The only other time it makes that sound is of course when I plug it in.
