macOS 10.13.2 Finder freezes when deleting files on SMB share

I have MacOS 10.13.2 installed.

Whenever I try to delete a folder on an SMB share (shared folders on a Windows Server 2012 R2 computer) the Finder freezes. I have also tried using the Terminal to delete the folder ($rm -rf folder) with the same result.

macOS 10.13.2 becomes unusable and the only remedy is to force a reboot (Ctrl-Command-PowerOn).


I have a laptop running OS X Yosemite and this does not happen on that computer.


Has anyone else seen this problem?

iMac, macOS High Sierra (10.13.2)

This problem has been solved in macOS 10.13.3.

Kudos to Apple for contacting me about this problem and collecting the necessary information from my computer to resolve this problem.
