How to copy URLs

The way to preview URLs of a webpage is by opening the webpage with a link, tap and hold onto the link until an options screen opens up as in screen below and there I’ll be able to preview the URL. In the screen below the URL previewed is http://mobile.nytimes.com.......

My question - is there a way (or another way, another process) by which I can do a copy and paste of the URL. Because this method I described allows me to just preview and manually note the URL. It does not allow me to copy.

Hi Mariansapple,

I understand that you'd like to be able to more easily copy and paste a URL, rather than having to manually make note of it after touching and holding the link. I'm happy to provide some help for this.

After you touch and hold a link, you can tap "Copy" when you are presented with the various options. You can see in the second screenshot you provided that it is the second to last option, just above "Cancel".

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. Cheers!

Funny. I have been doing repeatedly exactly as you told me before I posted my question to Apple Communities and it was just copying the text being pointed at and not the URL. So left with no recourse but frustration. That’s why I posted to Apple Community. So I was gonna just tell you that. And I said, what the heck - let me try again. And for some mysterious reason it worked. So thank you. You must have the magic Apple wand.
