Why is it so hard to add music from my iTunes library to my iPhone with the new version?
With the new version of iTunes, it is terribly clunky and difficult to add my music from iTunes library to my iPhone! It used to be a very simple drag and drop operation - if I wanted to add a playlist, all I had to do was right click on the playlist title or playlist icon, and I could add the entire playlist to my phone in one fell swoop. Now, I have to
1. open the playlist in iTunes
2. select the first song (or one of the songs)
3. Go up to "edit" in the taskbar and click it
4. Select "select all"
5. Now and only now can I drag & drop to my phone; or right click and find the option to "add to device"
This is worse than the early days of iTunes and my original iPod!
Plus, it has become very difficult to even *find* instructions on how to manually add music from iTunes to my device!
Why has Apple made this so difficult?? Oh, I know! They want me to subscribe to Apple Music and sync all my music to the cloud, where I will no longer "own" it and will have to stream my own music from their servers. Grrrr.
Forgive my rant - can anyone else either confirm this is really how things work now? And is iTunes eventually going away?
