Downloading on a personal hotspot
If I were to download a 6 GB application onto a computer using my personal hotspot on an IPhone 5s how much data would that take as I only have a plan of 20 GB shared between my family?

So even if the application were 6GB and came zipped, maybe it would be 5.8GB zipped.

The best advice is "You don't get something for nothing." If you expect a 6GB application, plan on using very close to 6GB bandwidth.
