iTunes 12.7.2.58 - Device Backups List Empty

I have 5 iTunes Libraries. One for each family member. After upgrade to 12.7.2.58 version, I can no longer see my list of backups in Devices Preferences.

Additionally, it does not have the Latest Backups after plugging my iOS device in. It says the device has never been backup. The Restore Backup is grey out.

null-OTHER, Windows 10

Fixed. 2 of the backups were corrupted.

On Windows at

%AppData%\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\

Here's what to do:

  1. Move all the folders in the Backup folder to a different location
  2. Move a single folder back
  3. Click on Edit > Preferences > Device tab to see if the backups show in the list
  4. Repeat 2 and 3 until you get an empty list - you've found the bad backup folder (or at least a backup that the newer iTunes can't understand)
  5. Delete or move that bad backup
