playlist core dump

I'm trying to put my Christmas music back on my iPhone. It's been there before in a smart playlist selecting the appropriate genres. Then I uncheck that playlist the rest of the year. This time, when I check my Christmas playlist and sync it with my phone, the folder shows up on my phone, but if I try to open it, it core dumps and exits the music app. I tried updating my phone to 11.2, and that didn't change anything. I deleted the playlist and recreated it and reselected it, and it did the same thing. I use a MacBook Air. What do I do to fix this?
