ios 11.2 crashing ipad pro

I had ios11.2 installed on my ipad pro (12.9) and iPhone 7. Ipad pro had to go through “recovery data” right after the installation, and i was automaticall done. Today I discovered that it freezes up every time I try to cope URL with no options showing at all. Any suggestions?
