Audio stops during playback

Since the latest Combo upgrade my computer's sound freezes during playback.Sometimes after 20 minutes ,sometimes 2 min. This happens all the time whether I use Youtube , Logic Pro or play CD and it causes the other apps to loose the sound as well.Yesterday's update didn't help. ( I was hopeful )

Reset ,PRAM reset does help only temporarily. Please help.
